With cold weather comes hot drinks, and what could be better than hot chocolate on a chilly day?! Especially with the holidays right around the corner, we recommend grabbing a hot chocolate and going for a stroll through your neighborhood to see all the houses lit up, going to a Christmas tree farm to grab a live tree, hitting the ice skating rink in Downtown Raleigh, or partaking in any other festive activity you enjoy this time of year! Videri Chocolate Factory

Naturally, with Videri being a literal chocolate factory, they make a killer cup of hot cocoa—made using their own powdered chocolate! They also offer hot chocolate bombs, which make a great gift or treat for yourself to make at home.

Scott Crawford’s French bistro on Person Street just started serving Valrhona hot chocolate out of its Champagne window Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. And yes, they also have a Champagne window!

This bean-to-bar chocolate shop offers not one, but five different types of hot chocolate! Choose from original, spicy, peanut butter, chocolate-chai, or white chocolate and spices. For a little pick-me-up, go for the mocha, made with a shot of espresso!
