Another Tower Team Member Has Earned Their North Carolina HVAC License

Please join us in congratulating Adonis on earning his North Carolina HVAC license! We are so proud of him for all his hard work, drive, and determination.
Earning your license is no easy feat but we encourage any of our employees who wish to receive their license to do so and will do all we can to support them along the way. Only about 30 percent of people who take the HVAC license exam pass, making this even more impressive. What an accomplishment!
Why is Important to Have Your Licence?
To legally perform heating and air conditioning work in the state of North Carolina, you must be a licensed contractor or work under someone who is a licensed contractor. There are many benefits of receiving your license. To start, it is proof of your experience and skill. Only licensed contractors can operate a business and advertise services, obtain commercial insurance, pull building permits, and bid on public and government projects.
We are proud to have another team member as a license holder! This is just another way we are showing our commitment to professional service.
Steps to Get an HVAC License in North Carolina
There are lots of steps you have to go through to get your HVAC license but we have listed a few below to give you an idea of how much work goes into receiving this recognition.
- Attend a formal HVAC certificate program or a two-year degree
- Get a formal apprenticeship through a local union or an informal apprenticeship through a sponsoring employer as an entry-level worker supervised by a licensed contractor
- After learning the trade through classroom training and hands-on experience, you can apply to take the examination to earn your license
- To be eligible to take the exam, you must have 18 months (3,000 hours) of on-site, full-time experience
- The exam takes about five hours to complete

More Praise for Adonis
“It begins with exceptional customer service on the front end with Liz and Lauren. Then the experience and knowledge from Don Capps the Service Dept. Manager. Top it off with efficient and timely visits from Adonis and Dustin to get us cooling it all equates to exceptional 5 star service. We have the comfort knowing that with our Maintenance Program for our heating and air units we will be comfortable for the summer! Thank you to the entire team!” – Lincoln on Google
“Adonis was very professional and knowledgeable. He wore a mask and shoe booties in my home. I had 4 systems serviced and also had two repairs completed. It took some time, which is expected due to the number of units. I feel like the maintenance membership pricing was fair and the repair pricing was consistent with industry pricing.” – Cyndi A. on Google
“We signed up for the twice-a-year maintenance plan for our less than ten-year-old unit because our summer power bills were exceeding $300/month. Adonis, our assigned technician, arrived on time and was very polite and explained everything in detail, including showing us just how much the dog hair on our unit outside was blocking the efficient operation of our system. When he was done with the maintenance appointment and cleaning, it looked like a brand new unit and we noticed almost immediately that the system was running more quietly and was having to turn on and off less. We could not be more pleased with the quality of service and value of the subscription. Thanks, Tower!” – Johnnie N. on Yelp
“Thank You Tower Heating & Air! You were the first HVAC company to respond to us this morning. We have been without downstairs AC since Saturday. My husband said Adonis, the technician, was very thorough and polite. Thanks for looking for a new motor for us and finding one today. I was happy to come home to working AC after work today. Happy Wife Happy LIfe!” – Angie F. on Facebook
